Netflix confirmed on Thursday afternoon that Bridgerton’s second season will be produced in the spring of this year. “Bridgerton” is a period drama series adapted from Julia Quinn’s The Duke & I, and it’s one of the highlights of 2020. It explores the relationships and love interests of various wealthy families during the Regency Period, in London.
In true Bridgerton style, the good news was announced in a “letter” signed by Lady Whistledown, the famous gossip of Queen Charlotte’s little reign states that: “Lord Anthony Bridgerton intends to dominate the social season. I will have my pen ready to report any and all news of romantic events ”. See complete:
In a special edition of her Society Paper, she revealed that the second season will focus on finding the perfect suitor for the eldest Bridgerton son, Anthony.
The series explores the coming-out season of Daphne Bridgerton and her relationship with the Duke, Simon Basset. But the best-selling novels go on to focus on the lives of all eight Bridgerton children. So there’s plenty more material which can be used in future seasons.
The first series features an explosive final episode, which leaves fans dying for more and setting the tone for what the second season could be focusing on.
