Netflix — which was founded in 1997 as a rental company that sent you DVDs in the mail — crossed a major milestone on Tuesday, further solidifying itself as one of the most influential companies in Hollywood. It announced that it reached 203.7 million subscribers. With the temporary closure of theatres, 8.51 million new subscribers were registered in the fourth quarter of 2020. In the entire year, Netflix reached 36.6 million new subscribers.
Netflix still raised $ 6.64 billion between January and December 2020.
In 2021, the streaming service plans to release one film a week.
