“Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar,” a comedy from the duo of screenwriters behind the Oscar-nominated comedy “Bridesmaids”. Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo “Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar”, has dropped a colourful, quirky teaser ahead of its new release date, and it will premiere on premium video-on-demand platforms next month.
The film — starring Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo — will be available to rent for a premium price on 12 Feb. It was originally scheduled to debut in theatres on 16 July, but the studio shifted release plans amid the pandemic.
“Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar” follows Wiig and Mumolo as lifelong best friends, who embark on the adventure of a lifetime, when they decide to leave their small Midwestern town for the first time ever to go on holiday to Florida. They face an evil villain who plots to kill everyone in town.
Josh Greenbaum directed the film from a screenplay by Wiig and Mumolo. The cast also includes Jamie Dornan, Damon Wayans Jr., Vanessa Bayer and Wendi McLendon-Covey.
